Orphan Ani was easily seen yesterday from the elevated boardwalk, all of the way to the parking lot exit at Anhinga Trial! I watched it move "rat like" through the weeds and brush looking for food. I saw it catch one small bug in the hour and a half that I watched it. There used to be a dozen or so anis here many years ago, you have to wonder what has changed that made them disappear from this area?? The same can be said for Eco pond that used to have a smaller flock.
