On February 20 there was a brief discussion on Crandon Gardens birds and I posted 3 photos of Sandhill Cranes from there. Several birds were held in a "rehab" pen ~2000-2002. Though they were never truly rehabbed and the permit situation is fuzzy, they have been prolific and offspring and grand-offspring are free-flying. See:
