arrived at C-357 around 8 a.m. saw Male and female Painted Buntings. Veered away got distracted and went to C359 and saw Orchard Oriole 1st Summer Male
Adult Female Indigo Bunting
Female Painted Buntings
Loggerhead Shrikes
Northern Harrier
American Kestrel
Went over to the fields to the east of Lucky Hammock and saw
Savannah Sparrow
White Crowned Sparrow
Clay Colored Sparrow
Common Yellowthroat (M&F)
Gray Catbirds(too many to count)
Common Ground Dove
Morning Dove
Blue Gray Gnatcatchers
Eastern Pheobe
Tried Gate 15 and found
Red Breasted Merganser
Blue Winged Teal
Ended up at Anhinga Trail
5 minutes after arriving saw the American Bittern and THE SMOOTH BILLED ANI. I took 50 pictures of this bird since I had traveled 4 times to see it..lol We were able to observe the Ani hunting for bugs and frogs in the weeds along the trail before you got to the covered benches. He then flew to the end of the Trail to the trees to the left og the overlook to roost for the night!
All in all an awesome day for birding!
