Today I met Trey, then David, Jeanette and Roxanne, then Joslyn and Gary, at the C-357 sparrow spot. Maria later joined the group, which by now comprised the Unofficial TAS C-357 Bird Walk. We covered the same area, with the addition of walking the dirt road that leads into the field on the north side of the berm. If you take the first dirt road off the berm and go west there is a mound out in the middle of the field. There were lots of sparrows around the mound and on it, including a Le Conte's. We had:

White-crowned Sparrow (3-4)
Clay-colored Sparrow
Lincoln's Sparrow (seen by only a couple of folks)
Le Conte's Sparrow (seen by Trey, Gary & Joslyn)
Grasshopper Sparrow (2-3)
Savannah Sparrow (20+)
Swamp Sparrow
Towhee (2 calling)

Also, Barn Owl, Cave Swallow, Northern Harrier, Eastern Phoebe, Painted & Indigo Buntings, Palm Warblers, Common Yellowthroats, and B-G Gnatcatchers.

According to the group, the morning was pretty groovy.
