I birded about an hour this morning in the fields on the north side of
the Motorsports complex in South Miami-Dade county. I had 8 species of
shorebirds:
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Least Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
Semi-palmated Plover
Killdeer
Short-billed Dowitcher
Black-necked Stilt
Also:
Glossy and White Ibis
Mottled Duck
Most of the shorebirds were in alternate plumage, very nice.
