Yesterday I had a beautiful Acadian Flycatcher flycatching from a telephone wire. I watched it for about ten minutes, giving me a new Florida Bird. Other than that, today seen were:
American Kestral, Merlin and 3 Peregrine Falcons, giving me a 3 falcon day. More Red-eyed Vireos, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, 3 Swainson's Thrush, and more warblers (Ovenbird, Palms- many, Black-throated Blues, American Redstarts, Yellowthroats, Yellow-throateds, Prairies, Parulas, Worm-eating, Black-and-whites, and a possible Blackpoll. The constant rains have kept these birds a few days, and numbers are getting higher and higher every day. Hopefully I can grab a Veery Saturday before they migrate. Hopefully I will be able to get to Barnes or maybe the up-coming Baggs walk.
I may instead go to Barnes the day of the Baggs Walk, so if anyone is going to Barnes instead aswell, please tell me so I can join you, instead of dragging my step-mom along by herself. I would also like to get a Baltimore Oriole or Scarlet Tanager for my Florida list.

While birding today, it was also a great treat to find a beautiful (and huge) West Indian Manatee 200 feet off shore, giving great views for about an hour. I could have stayed longer, but my young, short attention
span kicked in and I decided to leave.
