Forgive my tardiness for failing to post immediately after its conclusion the results of yesterday's TAS walk at Kendall Indian Hammock Park. I spent the rest of yesterday morning and early afternoon at AD Barnes, searching (unsuccessfully) for the empid I found on Friday (though I, along with Jill Rosenfield and John Boyd, saw many of the same species reported there in recent days). I then spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening at Long Pine Key, searching (unsuccessfully) for the Olive-sided Flycatcher and Black-faced Grassquit.

The results from Kendall Indian Hammock: not a whole lot different from what is being seen just about everywhere else lately. Lots of Swainson's Thrushes and Veerys, eight species of warblers (Ovenbird, Prairie, Worm-eating, Yellow-throated, Parula, Redstart, Black and White and Black-throated Blue), Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Great-crested Flycatcher, Yellow-throated (heard), White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireo, and Spot-breasted Oriole. A ninth warbler, thought to be a Blue-winged, got away before being positively identified.
