A brief tour of Barnes on the morning of 9/27 had good bird activity. 4 Swainson's Thrushes, plus a Gray-cheeked Thrush and Veery were highlights. 8 species of warbler were seen (BT Blue, Ovenbird, Praire, Parula, B&W, Northern Waterthrush, Redstart, 4 Worm-eating), plus male Baltimore Oriole, Summer Tanager, Yellow-throated and Red-eyed Vireos, several Brown Thrashers, and Cooper's Hawk (tearing through the trees over the platform).
