Got out late this morning before the temperature dropped and the rains came down.
Corbett WMA--tons of yellow-rumps, nesting red-shoulders, catbirds, prairie warbler and bugling sandhill cranes. Highlight was a FOS swallow-tail kite on Seminle-Pratt Whitney Road.
STA-1 West had HUNDREDS of WHITE PELICANS. First time I ever saw them there. Also 1 purple swamphen, 6 black skimmers, at least two tern species, snipe as well as the usual suspects. Not as many coots as compared to last year at this time.
