Sat. Sept 27, 2003
AD Barnes(Bird Rd)
Good time was had by all... The birds have return to grace
us with their beauty.
Spotted were:
Warblers: Blackburnian (m) Worm-Eating
American Restart(m & f)Male was having a great time taking a bath in the waterfall!
Black & White Black-throated Blue (m & f)
Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher-singing joyfully
Others: Summer Tanagers (f only) Veery(veery many!!)
Spot-breasted Oriole (A pair hanging around the Firebush Tree-next to building)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird(also hanging around the Firebush!!-Love those blossoms!)
Downy Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpeckers Blue Jays
Cardinals(m & f)Doing their annual love fest!
Ovenbirds(Everywhere)
White-eyed Vireo(heard)
And if the day wasn't complete a few Black-whiskered Vireo's and
to top it all off a gorgeous Baltimore Oriole male in all his splender!!
