The bird at the Annex is definitely not the same bird as the one at Anhinga Trail, since the bird at the Annex definitely has some weak grooves on the beak -- I saw this detail many times at around 1-2pm -- which is possible in young Smooth-billed Anis. I had great views, then.
Also, the difference in behavior between the two birds is enormous -- the one at the Annex is really skittish while the one at Anhinga Trail will pretty much let you get within a foot before it even considers moving.
