Group of seven Black-necked Stilts at nursery pond along access road to Biscayne National Park. The pond is on the east side of the road, a few miles south of the park entrance, nearer the auto-racing track than the park entrance. Skittish and aloof, the birds took flight as I got within 30 yards. Striking appearance and memorable sounds. During long bike ride from park to Turkey Point GS to car-racing track and back to park.
