It's on the north side of the Tamiami Trail, just about a half mile west of the Shark Valley ENP entrance. Pull into the parking lot of a small air boat concession directly across from the sign for the Everglades Tower Motel. Look north for snail kites hunting in the distance, and sometimes closer to the road. If you are very lucky, you will find one directly in front of you eating an apple snail in the dead tree.
