Mine ignore suet and go only for peanuts. Go figure.

Bunting numbers are increasing and turkey/black vultures are the greatest number ever seen at Hoechoka Hammock. What a stink on the mornng after the roost!

All birds are now active whistling and mating. Mottleds are paired off and deadly with intruders. The great egret has joined up with a mate and a tri-color is walking "cozy" with a snowy............hmmmmm

Mockingbird numbers increasing. Up to 10 this morning. Thrasher heard but not seen. Palm warblers very common.

Wild Bird Care center released a re-hab osprey that immediately was joined by another. The injury was interesting. It broke a bone in the leading edge after a high altitude dive into the canal to catch a bas. The bird went to the hospital with the bass!
