The Shiny Cowbird continues at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Collier County. Two birds were originally found by Greg Schrott, Brian Rolek, Nick Sly et al from Archbold Biological Station on Saturday, February 13th. One was there today when I checked the feeders before going to work. The Shiny Cowbird associates with Common Grackles and Brown-headed Cowbirds and the flock moves from the feeders immediately behind the Blair Nature Center to the feeders in the Butterfly Garden in front of the Center. Early morning seems to be best.
