I was surprised to see a male Black-throated Blue Warbler, but when I tried to report it for the Backyard Bird Count, they did not even have it listed as a possibility - so I'm reporting it here as an odd surprise. I have no doubt about the ID.
There were lots of warblers in feeding flocks, mainly butterbutts and palms. Also two Indigo Buntings molting ungracefully with lots of reddish-brown plumage among the blue. The Indigos hang out with Painted Buntings in the bushes and ground cover at the very end of the long trail to the north.
