Several birders showed up to see the La Sagra's Flycatcher this morning near the white gate just before Troy and I arrived at 9AM. We all saw it again after it was heard calling in the buttonwoods on the right as you walk south on the Nature Trail a little ways from the white gate/bathroom intersection. Also seen and photographed was a Chuck-will's-widow perched very close on a fallen tree on the side of the trail opposite the bathrooms. This is probably the same chuck Troy and I flushed last Sunday. It had been our consolation prize to our failed attempt to hear or see the La Sagra's. But no failure this weekend!
