A female black-throated blue warbler lay dead right at the foot of the door of Barry University's Library when I arrived at work this morning at 8 am. She apparently had just flown into the glass door, and though lifeless, was still limp.
Is anyone collecting dead specimens for study? I do not believe this is a West Nile Virus case, but am aware dead birds are being studied. If so, who is the contact? Otherwise, I will bury her.
