Today was a great birthday for me, in the way of birds atleast.
PEREGRINE FALCON- flyover over my school
Merlin-flyover my school
Cooper's Hawk
Osprey
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Loggerhead Shrike
Barn Swallows- about 40
2 short-tailed Swallows
Ring-billed Gulls returning
Magnificent Frigatebird far inland! Low to ground, too!
Interestingly enough, this was my 2nd peregrine Falcon ever. The interesting part was that I saw my first one in Vero Beach when we evacuated from Hurricane Mitch...
on my birthday. Imagine that day on the beach with Bald Eagle, 2 Osprey, and Peregrine Falcon (within 30 feet from me) all in the same view.
