I will be coming down from Conyers, GA next week for a week in Key West. I hope to arrive early afternoon Wednesday the 3rd in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and do some birding there till Friday morning. I am a long time birder and have most of the books and links. I am looking for someone on the ground there just to talk with for some up to date local info on how to best look for certain birds e.g. Spot-breasted Oriel, Shinny Cowbird, are the Cave swallows arrived yet? etc. I actually have about 10 to 12 birds that I will probably look for. If anyone is willing to help, just by phone or email I would appreciate it.
By the way I saw the Ivory Gull around noon today at West Point Dam, here in Georgia. It was a poignant moment to see such a beautiful creature in such sad distress. I doubt if it will make it through the night without help.

Blessings and thanks for the helpful site, Francis Michael Stiteler, aka; FM
