From McNab, turn south on Hiatus road, which is the last left turn going west. (If you miss it, you'll come to the end of McNab shortly.) The easiest place is just to pull into the Tamarac fire station parking lot, about 1/2 mile on the left. The birds are in the small wetland bordering the parking lot to the north.
They are also in the larger wetland area across the street in front of the City Furniture building. Just walk along the sidewalk. Best places are the N and S ends of the small lake, but they turn up all along the near shore.
I'll be riding a bike around that area Sat. about 8-9 AM or so; if I see any birders needing swamp hens I'll try to find some, though you will probably see them very easily.
