Hi all,

There have been four Ruddy Ducks, two Lesser Scaup, and 11 Ring-necked Ducks hanging out in Miami Lakes for the last week or so. We first saw the ducks on 01/14 and as of yesterday they were still there. Also of note is a juvi Brown Pelican hanging around the lake, this is the first Brown Pelican we have seen in this area. We called RJ to come over and pick up some year birds for his Year of the Jetty, he has asked us for some friendly competition and boy is he going to get some.
Also seen near the lake; Burrowing Owl, Savannah Sparrow, Waders, plenty of Killdeer, Ring-billed and Laughing Gull, Osprey, Bald Eagle, and Tree Swallow.

Nature is Awesome
Angel & Mariel
