Hi All,

To make a long story short... Today the Ivory Gull was seen very early way out on the lake, it then got up and headed out of sight and was lost. About 12:30pm the bird came in and centered off of the dam, a good way out and floated for a while. Then it got up and flew right over the dam, and many of us, and circled around below the dam and over the tailwaters for maybe 15 minutes. Then amazingly the gull came back over the dam and set down inside the floating boom barrier above the dam for at least most of the rest of the afternoon, coming as close to the dam as maybe 100 feet! Amazing looks were had by all, and amazing photographs were also taken by many! A piece of Ivory Gull mythology also surfaced stating that if an Ivory shows up a second day then it may stay for a couple weeks! Hope so!

Good Birding All!

Mark
