We managed to get one hour of sunlight today at Green Cay before cloud cover moved back in from the SSE at 25mph winds.

Usual concentration of coots, moorhens, egrets, etc but one sharp-shinned hawk was a pleasant surprise as was the little phoebe at the green duck weed pond east of the visitor center. Many warblers high up in the trees and appeared to be prairie and some palm. A corn snake was curled up in the salvia at the main entrance and purple martin scouts were appearing as we left. The martins now number about 70-100. No nesting activity yet.
