Alex. Please stop spreading bad rumor as if it were truth. The photographer (Daniel Rainsong) attended Iowa State University in the 1980's.
I-O-W-A--S-T-A-T-E--U-N-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y (Ames, Iowa)

The female Ivory-billed Woodpecker skin was stolen from the University Of Iowa.
U-N-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y--O-F--I-O-W-A (Iowa City, Iowa)

The skin was stolen in 1979.

In 1979, Daniel Rainsong was standing guard at the United States Embassy in Bogota, Columbia as a Marine Security Guard with the United States Marine Corp.

Oh, and Rainsong's picture is of a male.

Let's tally this up-
1. Wrong University (UI vs ISU)
2. Wrong Town (Iowa City vs Ames)
3. Wrong country (U.S.A. vs Columbia)
4. Wrong Year (1979 vs 1980's)
4. Wrong sex (female vs male)

Alex, please stop spreading bad rumor as if it was the truth. The link for substantiation of your error (or 'their' error that you just passed on without checking the truthfulness) is at: http://library.iowabirds.org/issues/ibl-2005-2.pdf (page 99 of that document)
