It appears that hundreds of thousands of fish were killed in southern Biscayne Bay. The ones I saw were native. It is very sad. The native marine fish in Biscayne National Park already suffer from overfishing. Now this. I don't know about how birds in general fared, but I observed three days in a row that a Yellow-crowned Night Heron was eating fish at the road leading to the Visitor Center area, when I usually observe this species in this area eating crabs.
