Common Eider at Pelican Harbor 01/17/10

Jody and I were extremely surprised to find this Common Eider casually swimming near the boat docks by the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. The bird appeared healthy and strong. After hanging around the harbor for about an hour and a half, the bird flew west toward the residential area.

We were also able to take another look at the Red-footed Booby.
