Here are a few highlights from time in and around Everglades this morning.

Anhinga Trail - Everglades National Park
-Anhinga chicks - the first I've seen this year
-Barred Owl - calling
-Sandhill Cranes - calling
-pink White Ibis - possible Sacred Ibis hybrid; check out this photograph of a rosy pink ibis that flew overhead

Long Pine Key - Everglades National Park
-Hermit Thrush
-Pileated Woodpecker
-Black-throated Green Warbler
-Black-and-White Warbler
-Eastern Towhee (pair)

Lucky Hammock
-Swainson's Hawk
-Short-tailed Hawk
-Northern Harrier
-Blue-headed Vireo
-Great-crested Flycatcher - pair
-possible Wilson's Warbler (female) - I saw a small, very yellow warbler feeding low on the north side of the hammock. I saw the head of the bird first and then managed a brief view of the tail. I really wanted a longer view, but I saw no hint of white in the tail and the head really made me think of the Wilson's I saw in Costa Rica last month.
