I spent last weekend (1/7 - 1/10) birding around PB Co. Notable birds:
Snail Kites: seen perching on wires near US 441 & entrance to Loxahatchee on three days. Close up views.
Painted Buntings: 3+ pairs at feeders at Okeeheelee Nature Center. Thrilled my non-birding family dragged along. Thanks John Curlew!
Merlin: seen at John Corbett WMA
Blackburnian Warbler: Loxahatchee swamp walk. 1st year male
Rose-breasted Grosbeak: female at Green Cay
Mottled Duck: many at Green Cay
Blue-headed Vireo: swamp walk at Loxahatchee
Lincoln's Sparrow: Loxahatchee
