They are Black-hooded (Nanday) Parakeets.
: Outside the Bass Pro Shop/Outdoor World store in Davie off I-95 and Griffin Road I saw about ten parrots/parakeets in a Gumbo Limbo tree. They were medium size, color green with black or almost complete black head. Could someone please ID them for me? I was stumped when my eight year old son asked what they were. Thought at first they were Monk Parakeets but aren't they completely green? Thanks.
