I don't know if it's reflection in this photograph or the actual plumage, but a reminder that Orange-crowned Warblers many times show a light line at the bend of the wing. This is an excellent field mark to confirm the ID, whether it's a celata (dull) or lutescens (bright). Dunn and Garrett barely mention it in their warbler book. The chip note is also distinct, very sharp and insistent.
