On my Green Cay bird count today we only had 36 species. We had 2 Greater Yellowlegs that I wasn't expecting but everything else was normal...that is until I reached the Martin houses. Feeding above the house/guord area were 3 Tree Swallows and 1 Purple Martin. I think this is the earliest record I've had for them at Green Cay. Last year my first sighting was Jan. 16th.
