WAKULLA COUNTY

On Sunday 14th, at least 24 BRIDLED TERNS were seen from the beach at Coconut Point County Park (S.Linney). DeLorme p. 88
PINELLAS COUNTY
A second year female MOURNING WARBLER was found on Tuesday 16th at Ft. DeSoto Park. It was found in the Tower Area. About halfway down the dirt road that leads to the tower there is a weedy field on the right that has Spanish needles and Pokeberry, the warbler has been seen in this area on Tuesday & Wednesday (L. Athernton, J. Gaetzi & all). On Friday 19th a WILSON’S WARBLER was found at the end of East Beach Woods Trail and a GOLDEN-WINGED WARBER & CLAY-COLORED SPARROW were seen at the Tower Area (L. Atherton & all). On Saturday 13th, fifteen species of warblers including a male CERULEAN WARBLER were found in East Beach Woods (J. & T. Gaetzi). DeLorme p. 90; Pranty p. 126
On Sunday 14th, a KENTUCKY WARBLER was found at Dunedin Hammock Park (R. Smart). DeLorme p. 90; Pranty p. 121
LEE COUNTY

PALM BEACH COUNTY
On Thursday 18th, a PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen in the Ficus Trees in the field in the center of Spanish River Park (D. Beech & all). DeLorme p. 109; Pranty p. 211
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
A single LARK SPARROW has been present at Lucky Hammock for the past week (V. Lucas & all). DeLorme p. 122
EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK
The BLACK-FACED GRASSQUIT was last reported seen early on Saturday morning. It has been found anywhere along the road the leads to Long Pine Key Campground, but seems to favor the area along the road close to the private residence. A male WILSON’S WARBLER was spotted in the same area too. On Saturday 13th, 43 GREATER FLAMINGOS were found between Christian Point and Snake Bight trail. The only way to see these birds is by boat, canoe or if you are really brave by walking Christian Point trail. The trail probably has some flooded areas as well as more mosquitoes than you can possibly believe. Also seen was a soaring dark morph SHORT-TAILED HAWK at Flamingo and a male SHINY COWBIRD near the motel. Also two more SHORT-TAILED HAWKS were seen together flying over the agricultural areas about a mile before entering the park (L. Manfredi). DeLorme p. 122/121; Pranty p. 234
