Birded all by my lonesome at Indian Hammocks Park (my main focus), Baptist Hospital and the area south of it, Tropical Park and the Environmental Center at Miami-Dade College (many thanks to Jake Tucker for giving me access).
Did not have the warbler variety I wanted but was glad to get Yellow-throated Vireo, Summer Tanager (both at Indian Hammocks) and Brown Thrasher at MDC. Some highlights: dark Short-Tailed Hawk spooking Rock Pigeons and Grackles at Kendall Mall and a Merlin barely missing a Starling. Also impressive was huge noisy flock of Mitred Parakeets at sunrise by Dadeland. A noisy Bulbul was in the same area I saw it last year south of Baptist Hospital. Great Egret, Little Blue Heron, Snowy Egret and Green Heron all together at Baptist Hospital was convenient.
Had a total of 58 species and my birding was cut short at 4:45 PM due to punctured tire.
