After several attempts, I finally had a great view of the La Sagra's Flycatcher (lifer) this morning at around 8:45. It had called but we couldn't locate it initially. After a few minutes, I decided to scan the trees and luckily it was perched in the open, and several of us saw the bird.
Other birds seen in the area were Blue-headed Vireo, American Redstart, Yellow-throated Green Warbler, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Swainson's Hawk overhead.
