This bird is still there (10:30 12/26/09). We enjoyed the visit with Richard (TAS lurker) and got several pictures. This is a 600mm minimum shot (about 175 feet distance)but the sun is always to your back at this body of water. Same place as Paddy set forth below. No problem with parking as there is a service road for truck laodings and a huge storage dumpster at the east end of the building. Both provide easy parking and easy spotting of this bird. A harrier flew over and headed north past the vegetation line. Four shots rang out and the harrier never returned. Also saw two dunlins at shoreline and about 40 ring-necked ducks. Coots and moorhens were prevalent and one Great Egret was also present.

This is a pretty little place and the green vegetation reflction in the water sets the bird out nicely.
