Wednesday Mariel and I went out to look for the Red-footed Booby around 3:00pm, when we arrived the bird was not seen. After spending about half and hour checking out the resident and rehab birds on the premises our friend Bill Boeringer showed up and found the Booby atop the cages. We were able to get up close looks at the bird as well as a Masked Booby, Northern Gannet, Magnificent Frigatebird, Brown Pelicans, and Black-crowned Night-Heron among others. Before we left the Booby took flight and circled to later land on top of the cages again. Awesome bird to see so close to home, attached is a photo of the Red-footed Booby; enjoy.
