You have way too much free time since you gave up your mayoral duties :)

Oh and I had a pair of Barred Owls here in NC last weekend...

: A beautiful morning (4 more stinkin' hours) was spent wandering aimlessly in search of the Black-faced Grassquit at Long Pine Key Campground. I was joined by several familiar and some new lost souls. I wonder why they seem to be avoiding me? You may have already guessed, no enchilada. I have tried the following methods with absolutely no results:

: 1. Walking forward at a slow rate of speed
: 2. Walking forward at a fast rate of speed
: 3. Walking backwards at a slow rate of speed
: 4. Walking backwards at a fast rate of speed
: 5. Skipping along while whistling the theme song
: from Bridge over the River Kwai
: 6. Driving at idle speed with my windows down while
: playing Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits
: 7. Driving at idle speed with my windows up
: 8. Driving 25 MPH with my windows down while playing
: Slim Whitman's Greatest Hits.Not even a Grassquit
: should be subjected to such torture
: 9. Driving 25 MPH with my windows up
: 10.Walking slowly with rosary beads in hand
: 11.Walking slowly chanting Hare Krishna, Krishna,
: Krishna

: All potential wives please forward resumes. Must own a boat and father must own a liquor store.Must be a birder. Ex-wives of birders need not apply. Warning. I have a lot of baggage.

: Life is good............knowing that the Palm Warblers have finally arrived.
