A cold front is forecast to come through this weekend, which increases the potential for some northern birds to show up in our area. They've already had some interesting sightings a little farther north, like Common Eider, Ancient Murrelet, Black-legged Kittiwake, and most recently Common Goldeneye in a standard, mad-made pond in a development in eastern Sarasota. We need to check every lake, pond, puddle, wetland, swail, ditch, restoration area, bay, cove, lagoon, marina, and very large bucket in Dade County. Just get out and look people, for the love of God, please, look!!!
(OK, maybe a little too melodramatic?)
