I spotted a roseate spoonbill today at green cay. It was the first one I have seen this year. It was quite pink. I also saw a pair of northern flickers. I looked them up in my bird book and found them to be the yellow-shafted variety. They were the first ones I have ever seen. On the way out, a cardinal was sitting at the feeder. It was also the first one I have seen this year. It was a good day for me at green cay!
