Thanks to my husband who got approval to open the gate we have been allowed to bird at the Miramar Pinelands Natural Area which is on the corner of County Line Road and University Dr. I have been anxious to get in there in that there is a mitigated wetlands with shorebirds and ducks, but more importantly the possibility of Gulls from the dump. Who knows what might be in there. We will spend about 1-2 hours at Snake Warrior and then head over there with high hopes. We will park in the Winn Dixie parking lot just north of the area on the west side. Any one who wants to keep going I loved to also show you a fairly new wetland on Pine Island and Sheridan St. I have had Hooded Merganser, Eastern Meadowlark and Swamp Sparrow, plus more before. See you there!
Meet in the parking lot of Snake Warrior at 8:00 a.m. which is on S.W. 62nd Ave, just west of 441 and just north of County Line Road.
