Greetings,
I checked out the Annex from about 7-9 AM today. Highlights included CAPE MAY WARBLER, OVERBIRD, and BROWN THRASHER. Also, a kingbird on the powerlines between Lucky Hammock and the entrance had me looking at him for a while. His feathers were ruffled so he looked to have a darker breast than he actually had. His white-lined tail took away my hopes for the Cassin's, and as I got better looks, I could see his wings appeared darker than his back, making him the WESTERN KINGBIRD. I also saw a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER on power lines just west of the C111 canal on Ingraham Highway.
