Trey and I started at Cutler Wetlands before dawn and finished at Dump Marsh at 8:45. Here are the highlights:

Gadwall (2)
American Wigeon (4)
Blue-winged Teal (a few)
Mottled Ducks (all of them)
Greater Yellowlegs (many)
Lesser Yellowlegs (many)
Dowitcher sp (many, heard Long-bills)
Wilson's Snipe (dozen +)
Bald Eagle
Marsh Wren
House Wren
Orange-crowned Warbler (2)
Prairie Warbler (3)
Black-and-white Warbler (3)
American Redstart (2)
Louisiana Waterthrush
Northern Waterthrush (3)
Common Yellowthroat (several)
Palm Warbler (several)
Savannah Sparrow (couple)

The Lowlights:
European Starling
Brown-headed Cowbird
Northern Mockingbird
White Ibis
Cattle Egret
Laughing Gull
Coot (1 million)
Loud bulldozers (several at the landfill)
Loud bikers in tights (several herds)
Mystery van (one at the dump marsh bridge)
Wild Dogs (3 at the flow-way)

Gotta love the peace and quite of birding!
