I contacted the person who posted the report on the BirdBrain listserv and they had misidentified Egyptian geese. I guess there was some confusion in their guide book as to which illustration was the Orinoco goose. The birds were definitely Egyptian geese. There are two documented records of Orinoco geese in Florida both from Palm Beach County, one in 1989 and one in 1999 (Bill Pranty, personal communication).
