I enjoyed a very brief visit to Daggerwing this morning. Despite the radar reports from last night--not many interesting migrants were making themselves noticed. The wetland area was very dry--and the place was lousy with Palm Warblers. Didn't find the buntings. Best bird was a red tailed hawk which began cirlcing high in the sky, but soon appeared just above tree level. Also gave me the 'Keeeeerrrr'! (well, maybe it wasn't just for my benefit).
In West Boca I observed my FOS yellow-bellied sapsucker, in the early afternoon. Great day to be outdoors!
