Today during an afternoon stroll through campus we ran into a nice flock of Warblers including our first of season Ruby-crowned Kinglet; sweet! We stood at one tree which had some activity and pished softly that s when birds started to fly in from all sides; the Kinglet came in and gave us a stare with those big eyes of theirs. The flock consisted of a couple of Palms, a Yellow-rumped, Prairie, a nice male Redstart, BG Gnatcatchers, Parula and a B & W Warbler. We also saw the resident Great Egret that loves to stalk the grasses for lizards; we have watched it catch and eat lizards from as close as five feet away. The Egret walks right up to us if we stand still and does its thing; guess he trusts us as we walks away when others are sitting nearby. Not bad for a ten minute walk on campus. Sorry Toe no rare birds here today we will continue our search of a Toe Quality bird, keep the effort up you are doing great and will shatter the Miami-Dade year record buddy.

Nature is Awesome
