Right on schedule, American Golden-Plovers are showing up on Crandon Flats. There were 2 this morning mixed in with ~22 Black-bellied Plovers. One golden-plover was fighting with all his neighbors, even pulling primaries on a Royal Tern. "Does not work or play well with others" is a good description. Low tide is best, since the larger plovers don't loaf on the beach during high tide.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP was quiet this morning with only 7 warbler species, several Chuck-will's-widows, a Traill's flycatcher and FOS Sharp-shinned Hawk.
