Some officials finally learned to take action after realizing thousands of Burmese Pythons and Purple Swamphens call the Everglades home, and now here to stay. Egyptian Geese may be next in the wage against exotic species, though they pose less of a threat.
Some may find it interesting and frightening that there is a small and localized population of African Rock Pythons in Miami-Dade. Luckily, they are being heavily sought after. A group of over forty herpers searched for them this weekend actually. Wish I could have been down there.
