You probably went to the first entrance just west of U.S. 27 before the first bridge. This area can be good for Snail Kites but I haven't seen much else there. The entrance to the H. A. Campbell P.U.A. is about five miles farther, near where the paved road ends. These directions were included in my original posting. This area cannot be birded from your car; I allow at least an hour to walk around the southeast impoundment and four hours to cover the whole area. The road on top of the levees is suitable for bicycling and probably wouldn't be too rough for an electric wheelchair.
