Wnet to Indian Hammocks this morning eager to try out my new binoculars before my trip to Panama next week. Had a few surprises and FOS. Highlights:
Short-Tailed Hawk (light)
Ruby-Throated Hummingbird
Tree Swallow
Eastern Phoebe (FOS)
Swainson's Thrush (surprised to see it so late in season)Had good looks at it and was definitely it.
Gray Catbird
Gnatcatchers (abundant)
Blue-Headed Vireo (FOS, a total of 3)
Palm Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Summer Tanager (2 females, I just learned that they can winter here, did not expect to see them)
